COMPOSITION

UNIWALL RUBBOSEAL is a waterproof paint which is a proprietary blend of Resin, hydrocarbon solvent.

APPLICATION AREAS

UNIWALL RUBBOSEAL can be effective in protecting following structures from corrosion due to rust, acid and alkali and industrial gases/fumes:

• Beams, girders, pillar railing of buildings & bridges
• Chemical plant equipment such as external sides of vessels, tanks, pumps, pipelines, etc.
• Television and mobile transmission towers.
• Cranes and earthmoving equipment.
• Under surfaces of railway coaches and wagons.
• Slide gates, valves, and other irrigation structures.
• Sewage and treatment plants.
• Metal and concrete tanks of BioGas plants.
• RCC Water storage tanks
• Electric poles
• RCC pipes and concrete machinery foundation.
• Various other domestic uses such as protection of window grills, iron gates, shutters, etc.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

• Single pack ready to use product which does not require the addition of hardener or catalyst at time of use, unlike polyurethane and epoxy class of anticorrosive paints.
• Unlike the conventionally available paints which protect metal surface partially against the climate corrosion, RUBBOSEAL has been designed to protect the surface from drastic corrosion caused by various industrial chemicals and gases.
• Does not require a laborious and expensive method of cleaning rusted metal surface. Just through a manual cleaning with a steel wired brush is sufficient.
• Gives excellent bonding on concrete surfaces. The compound penetrates the porous concrete surface and forms rubber tentacles within the substrate. This firmly holds the coating and provides extra-strong bonding with the surface thereby preventing erosion of concrete due to weather, water, corrosive chemicals, and gases. 
• It prevents the growth of fungus, moss algae, and other microbes.
• Can waterproof difficult contours creating a fully adhered seamless membrane preventing seepage of water.

Completely washable once dried.

Available in convenient packaging size of 1 Litre, 10 Litre, and 20 Litre.

Available in Red, Green, Grey, Blue, Yellow, Black
Coverage:
On the normal dried surface, coverage of approx. 25 sq.ft. can be obtained.

APPLICATION STEPS

Pre-Application:

Do not use on wet surfaces.

• Remove thick scale of rust on a metal surface with mild hammer strokes and clean surface thoroughly by scratching it with steel wired brush.
• Loose rust particles then to be removed by rubbing it with a dry cloth.
• Stains of grease or oil (if any) on the metal surface to be removed with kerosene or petrol.

Coating Application Process:

• The surface should be cleaned & completely dry before application. 
• Shake the compound in the container well before opening.
• Apply evenly on the surface with the help of a brush, roller, or spray. For the best results, two coats of RUBBOSEAL are recommended.
• Do not rub the brush at the same spot for a long time as this leads to the formation of rubber fingers on the brush which might result in pulling effect and disturb the coating.
• The dilution of this product is strictly not recommended.
• Application with deviation in the above guidelines might affect the product performance.

ADHESION

Concrete, masonry, cementitious screeds/renders, galvanized steel, metals, clay, and cement bricks. Weathered bitumen and existing bituminous waterproofing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

Drying Time: 24 hours. The surface becomes tack free within six hours.
Flash Point: 95°C
Stability: To be used within 24 hours after opening the container.

CAUTION:

• Keep the area well ventilated at the time of application.
• In case of application is done in a closed condition, arrange a powerful exhaust fan to evacuate the solvent vapors.
• Wear hand gloves and adopt suitable eye protection.
• Avoid flames or smoking at the time of application which might lead to fire or explosion.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Post application cleans the brushes with thinner or solvent.
• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Do not store under direct sunlight.
• Avoid physical contact for sometimes after application.

SHELF LIFE

The minimum shelf life of UNIWALL RUBBOSEAL in a well-closed container is approx. 12 months.
